the sun is a little honeybee (a poem)

the sun is a little honeybee
the flowers gather round

how do you say moon in your native language?
something else waiting to be found
besotted in the light
the Moon is Most definitely a Moth

a lovely antidote to the aches and pains

because when i look at you, all i see is me

we are identical twins separated at birth

brought to “us” with an invisible line
taken with a grain of salt
watered down with angel wine

i hope flowers make up for mistreating you

i make it into a song

i’ll be a little less lonely

unbelievably sentimental

twisted and nonsensical

don’t shoot and never grow

we’re falling out of coconut trees
i think there’s something you should know
the sun is a little honeybee

what i hold dear and true

sadness as subjective as a shade of blue
